Blind Repair

Over time, window shades often need to be repaired. Shades and blinds that are raised or lowered frequently may have parts that wear out, the blind needs to be restrung, the tilter gear needs to be replaced, or a number of other repair issues.

BlindSpot offers repair services for most types and brands of shades and blinds including those we sell Hunter Douglas, Skandia, Insolroll, and Levolor. We make almost all repairs on site, quickly and cost-efficiently. If you prefer to save the service call fee, you may drop off the item at our home office. Call us or complete the quick contact form for a free estimate on your needed repair.

Motorized and cordless shades are not repaired on site; we will return those to the manufacturer for you, who will make the repair, then we will re-install the item.

Our “Satisfaction Guaranteed’ policy applies to repairs as well as cleaning. If you’re not satisfied with the repair of a shade that we believe can be restored, we’ll either re-do the work or refund the cost of that repair. With more than 20 years of experience in the repair of window coverings, we specialize in fast and accurate work.

Warranty: 90 days on repairs. Some conditions may apply.

Repair Cost vs. Replacement

The cost to repair a blind is usually much less than the cost to replace a damaged window covering. For example, a new honeycomb shade might cost $200 to replace but to restring the original shade (a very common repair) would only cost $25 – $40 for the service.
